BRIDGE LESSONS

June Morrison is currently giving private lessons to beginners in her home in Zelienople, PA.


BRIDGE I– BASIC/BIDDING: This is the first of a Bridge class series, comprising 9 sessions, and is an introductory class that concentrates on bidding. It is meant for those who are complete beginners, or for those who wish to bring their bridge up to date with current standards. 

BRIDGE II- PLAY OF THE HAND: This is the second in a Bridge class series, comprising 9 sessions, and focuses on the play of the hand. This class is designed as a sequel to BRIDGE I-BASIC/BIDDING. It is recommended that the student have taken the first course, although this one is designed to stand on its own for students with a basic knowledge of current bidge standard bidding. 

BRIDGE III- DEFENSE: This is the third in a Bridge class series, comprising 9 classes, and focuses on defense strategies.  It is designed as a continuation to BRIDGE-I-BASIC/BEGINNING and BRIDGE-II-PLAY OF THE HAND. It is recommended that the student have taken the first and second courses, although this one is designed to stand on its own for students with a basic knowledge of current bridge bidding and standards.
 
NOTES ABOUT ALL CLASSES:

Passavant Community of Zelienople sponsors the classes. There is a charge of $60/ per semester for each class series. Residents of Passavant Community are charged a discount rate of $5. /each series.

All classes are CURRENT AMERICAN STANDARD SYSTEM according to the ACBL (American Contract Bridge League). All of the texts used were written by the very qualified and well-known Audrey Grant and updated by Betty Starzec, Senior TAP Teacher-Trainer. All classes are held in June Morrison's home at 192 Burgess Drive in Zelienople.

Many supplemental classes on common conventions are also available on a stand-alone basis, as well as classes to teach partnerships using hands set up by the ACBL.
